Track revenue per visitor

The one number that tells you how much a visit is really worth, and lets you compare any two channels fairly.

Revenue per visitor is the fairest way to compare a TikTok spike, an SEO article, and a Shopify collection page. Volume lies. Value does not.

Why this matters

A channel with half the traffic can be twice as valuable if visitors actually buy or start a trial. Without revenue (or a close proxy like completed checkout or qualified signup) per visit, you will keep scaling the loudest source.

Why most analytics tools can't tell you

Most dashboards show sessions in one widget and revenue in another. Ecommerce platforms report orders; analytics reports traffic. The join is manual, delayed, or missing on SaaS funnels that do not look like a cart.

How Boostra helps

Boostra scores the pages and steps that sit between the click and the conversion. Use it to see which visits are structurally likely to convert, then overlay your revenue or order data so each source gets a real value, not a session count.

How to do it

  1. Pick one value event: paid conversion, trial start, or checkout complete
  2. Compute value per visitor by channel and by landing page
  3. Compare Shopify product traffic against blog or ads using that single number
  4. Reallocate budget toward the highest value-per-visit sources

Turn it into action

  • Promote pages with high value per visit even if they look quiet in Google Analytics.
  • Fix or unpublish pages that collect traffic and almost never convert.
  • Revisit the number weekly — seasonality and creative fatigue move it fast.
